Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Washington
A pause from art to remember my crazy little two toothed, red-headed, green eyed, chatty friend; Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Washington. This one loved me more than I knew an animal could & I adored her. Mrs. Washington, may there be an endless supply of heads for you to wrap your body around, foreheads for you to rest your chin on, noses for love bites, necks for kneading, bags to play with, boxes to nap in, sun to bask in, expensive blankets to sleep on, odd containers (fish bowls included) to drink water from & people to meow at & cuddle you, where ever you are. You made my world so much better & home doesn't really feel like home without you. Rest in peace, my little lady.

14/A/Week
Fall is, by far, my favorite season. I feel reinvigorated from crisp air, chunky sweaters & pumpkin spice coffee.
To get myself back on track, I'm creating 14 drawings a week. It is far too easy to find excuses with work & life, so these will be rough sketches, textures, illustrations- anything that my little hands feel like putting on paper. The following week they will be scanned/overlapped/manipulated. The week after? Repeat.
A taste of the first round....

Mural
This rainy Saturday was spent with my good friend Jenn painting a mural at Domas Academy in Connecticut. As the afternoon passed, we were in slight dismay that there is no way around how much time big walls take to cover. Below is stage one. It still has a ways to go & elements that haven't been added, but we're happy with the start!
